I am thinking of buying the accy spring loaded Cocoa Running Board Protectors sold by Langs, for my 1927 Sport Touring instead of the common step plates. I have never used them or even held one to look at it. Anyone used them.? Do they fit good.? Do they fit tight.? Do they wear the paint bad.? ect. They are kind of expensive and I will need 4 of them, so thought I would see what the opinions are on them. Does anyone have a photo of them on a car.? Thanks ..

You can buy a lot of touch-up paint for your running boards for $240.

Steve: Yea I know, I just thought they may look good with the Sport Touring style. Mine has the tan canvas top boot and tan gypsy curtains. I just thought I may "splurge" and get them. I justify this type of "buy" by going out in the piles and buildings full of "extra, unneeded, stuff" and listing several E-bay auctions till I have enough to pay for it. 30 plus years of collecting and hoarding of parts is finally paying off.
