Be careful tomorrow. Your best friend may stab you in the back!
I am amazed at the number of younger folks that have no idea what I am talking about when I say "Beware the Ides of March", or have heard of Shakespeare or Julius Caesar.
Et tu, brute?
Naw, man. I ain't et nothing yet.
Our 6th grade just performed the "friends Romans Countrymen" speech in front of the school. In Unison. I had mine do the Henry V "Once more into the breach" So, there is hope.
Noel, I'm not sure about stabbing in the back. I thought that Big Julie was stabbed in the Forum!
That would have been a flesh wound on the forearm!
The big guy was stabbed multiple times by many of his so called faithful senators, including his step-son. The senators surrounded him and while his arms were pinned down they continued to stab at him. He tried to fight back, but the fatal wound came from his step-son - he drove his blade deep into the groin area! Beware the Ides of March indeed!
Similar to going through a divorce right?
Here is the real story!!!
I believe it happened right here.
