The Hucks Starter is nothing new on the forum, but we dug a little deeper and found some interesting photos, the patent drawings, a video where you can watch an original Hucks start a Hawker at the Shuttleworth Collection in the UK and: The Moment – First Hucks Start in 70 Years, covering the use of a replica built at the Canadian Aviation and Space Museum. The original patent was followed up a year later with this ‘improved’ USPTO patent.
