I have a set of I believe to be Snowmobile skies for a Ford Model T or Ford Model A. They appear to be for the Snow Bird or Snow Flier Snowmobile Attachment. They are complete except for the mount that attaches the skies to the front axle. (The bolts are there, just not the mount itself). Skies are in good condition, undersides are also in good condition as are the runners as well. I am asking $600 for the set, and I will throw in another set of skies from a different make. The boys on American Pickers bought a set on an episode that aired just a couple of nights ago. I think they gave $600.00 for them. Hard to tell what they will ask for them. Dave

I've not found any that were made of all steel in that design. I think a blacksmith made them but copied the Snowmobile early design. Here's a picture of a early (Automobile Snow Attachment Co. for runner of the Snowmobile Co. 1913-1920) factory pair that are NOS that I've been trying to buy. Note there all wood construction except for the bottom plate and the T front hub.

Out in City Point did the kid show you the Model T rail road tugger? It was WAYYY out back behind the school busses. It ran on rails and pulled cranberry hoppers. THATS real cranberry territory!The kid wants to build a T snowmobile. Had a few sets of tracks and bogey axles in a trailer. The picker ski's looked to be steel. The lead edge was taller than the trailing end with a piece of angle iron down the center that looked open on one end. ws
