I have a set of I believe to be Snowmobile skies for a Ford Model T or Ford Model A. They appear to be for the Snow Bird or Snow Flier Snowmobile Attachment. They are complete except for the mount that attaches the skies to the front axle. (The bolts are there, just not the mount itself). Skies are in good condition, undersides are also in good condition as are the runners as well. I am asking $600 for the set, and I will throw in another set of skies from a different make. These skies have the mount to attach then to the front axle. I am located in Central Wisconsin, near City Point, WI. If you wish to call or text me, my number is 608-403-8335. I have pictures of both sets of skies, so if you would like to see them, send me your cell phone number and I will send you a picture text message of the skies.
I'm coming through your area later today and would like to look at them. I bought a truck in Marshfield and I'm picking it up this afternoon.

Did you get the Information I mailed to you last week ?
Bob
The boys on American Pickers bought a set on an episode that aired just a couple of nights ago. I think they gave $600.00 for them. Hard to tell what they will ask for them. Dave
$3000.00 that skinny jerks got Model T fever now....last year it was Fairlane fever. next week itll be Edsel fever... Those skies looked pretty home made by some blacksmith BTW
Daniel, thanks for giving us the tour. There's some neat old junk out there.
I agree Troop,
I've not found any that were made of all steel in that design. I think a blacksmith made them but copied the Snowmobile early design. Here's a picture of a early (Automobile Snow Attachment Co. for runner of the Snowmobile Co. 1913-1920) factory pair that are NOS that I've been trying to buy. Note there all wood construction except for the bottom plate and the T front hub.

Daniel, Give 'em good directions. One wrong turn down that way and they'll wind up in the swamps up to their eyebrows. Been there, done that. The City Point area will teach you the meaning of "remote".
Out in City Point did the kid show you the Model T rail road tugger? It was WAYYY out back behind the school busses. It ran on rails and pulled cranberry hoppers. THATS real cranberry territory! The kid wants to build a T snowmobile. Had a few sets of tracks and bogey axles in a trailer. The picker ski's looked to be steel. The lead edge was taller than the trailing end with a piece of angle iron down the center that looked open on one end. ws
Hope those spokes are hickory LOL... ws
