Now that I have decided to use my Simmons Super Power Carburetor for a road test, I have discovered that it is not functional, due to a messed up spray nozzle that evidently refused to come out in one piece.
The carburetor body is very similar to a Holley NH, but evidently all the parts are different.
Does anyone make replacement parts for this carburetor?
Are you sure they are different.I always thought the parts were replaceable with ether Kingston or Holley parts. Kind of a combination unit. I had one years ago but sold it. Good luck rebuilding yours
I think the NH and Simmons share parts except maybe the spray needle for the Simmons, it's different.
I know the spray nozzle is different because I tried replacing with a NH when rebuilding. I ended up sending my carb to Jack Daron, who rebuilt the carb and did a beautiful job.
Jim the spray nozzles are shorter than a NH. There is also a brass orifice pressed into the cast housing that the spray needle goes into. So the spray needle is shorter too. I've got most of the parts if you need anything. Contact me off-line and we can discuss.
I stand corrected. OK I got the spray need correct.
Kenny, did you get my e-mail?
