These nice folks were on their way into McDonald's, but were kind enough to pause and pose for
a couple of photos and kick off this season's series of Spectators and Funny Hats!
It's important to try not to smile when posing for antiqued photos.
Let the fun begin Looking forward to a photo op filled summer season.
That JC Penny skimmer I sold you seems to be getting a lot of use. I'm glad people are able to enjoy it.
They made 'em real good back in those days, William.
Well, we're back in the swing of things and today finds this lady and gentleman posing with "Penelope."
A double-header! As I was warming the Flivver up to drive to McDonald's, one of my neighbors
from down the block happened by and as luck would have it, today was her son's birthday.
After we shot the pix, we celebrated the occasion with a ride around the neighborhood park.
And then, after arriving at my lunch destination, I met up with this nice couple in the parking lot.
Good to see you getting out and about! And thank you for being such a good hobby ambassador.
Drive carefully, and enjoy, W2
Thanks for your kind words, Wayne. The photos that appear on this thread also get e-mailed to the folks who pose for them. They sign my guestbook, legibly print their e-mail address and initial that I have their permission to put their photos on this page.
And at the bottom of the e-mail they receive is this link:

Bob! Where do you get those mustaches? Those are fantastic.
I get the peel-and-stick mustaches at a local Party City store in my neighborhood, but they can also be ordered online at this website address:

It recently occurred to me that I could be using this silly hats and mustaches thing to actually do some good, so the families who get their antiqued photos e-mailed to them are now asked to make a contribution to the WoundedWarriorProject.org charity. So far, the response has been wonderfully enthusiastic. I only wish I'd thought of this earlier.
Drove to Hoyt Farm Nature Preserve to scare up a little Memorial Day photo business and met this nice family who helped me break in a few new bonnets and props — and who have pledged to make a nice, big donation to the Wounded Warriors!

Took another trip to Hoyt Farm Nature Preserve this weekend and met this nice family.
They pledged a nice, fat donation to the Wounded Warriors.

On Saturday, we met this Girl-Scout Leader who said she might be interested in involving her
scouts in the Wounded Warrior charity. Sure sounds good to me!
Bob,
Thanks so much for not only promoting the Model T hobby but supporting a great cause with the donations.
I always enjoy this post.
P.S.
Could you stop by the beach and get some photos of girls in bikinis in the car.
(if you do post a heart condition warning for us old farts)
My niece and nephew, visiting from Florida.
A couple of real heart-breakers, huh?
Met this nice little family at the Saturday evening cruise-in at the local Stop & Shop shopping center.
Also from the Saturday evening car cruise-in were this father and son.
Great stuff Bob! I've enjoyed all your funny hats posts.
Thanks for the feedback, Jay.
We met this nice family at the local I-Hop.
Experimented with some extra heavy antiquing in the first photo.
After this week's Bible-study, these two brave ladies volunteered to climb aboard for a
rollicking ride through Suburbia, over Hill & Dale (poor Dale).
And here's another nice couple we met at McDonalds.
The local Chili's Restaurant put on a car show for the St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital this Saturday.
Sponsors were East to West Classic Cars and Personal Touch Car Wash.
We met a lot of wonderful spectators during the show, but haven't yet had time to retouch all the photos,
so they'll get posted here in dribs and drabs.
And here's another nice couple we met at this past Saturday's car show to benefit the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
And here's another pair of good sports at the Chili's benefit for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital car show.
And these are the last of last Saturday's Spectators at Chili's car show to benefit the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. We were blessed with very pleasant weather, lots of fabulous cars and a nice, big crowd.
Met this nice family at the little park in my neighborhood.
