OT: SAFETY QUESTION - now that the u-joint pin is in and peened enough so it will not slip out, it rubs against the inner part of the housing as I hand spin it.

Do you think the pin metal will wear a away safely or will there be too much friction and heat causing a problem despite the grease to cool it down?

Oops!
Problem solved. I spun the shaft without removing the metal punch that I used on one side to hit against. It was rubbing against the punch. False alarm!
