My wife's grandfather will be 95 years old this December. He was born in 1919, same year that my T was built. Took him for a ride this afternoon, which both of really enjoyed. Brought back a lot of memories for him. Gotta do these things while we can.
That's so true Dave,
Time just gets away from us all...
It's really fun to share these "time machines" with others. My wife's mom was born the same year as my '27. She claims the car is in better shape than she is!
I had a dear friend who recently passed at 97 years old. He loved to ride in my Touring car and would go down memory lane every time we were out and about. Some of the stories I heard so many times I felt as if I could tell them like I was there. I wouldn't trade that for anything in the world. Now every time I go out I get to remember him.
At a cruise-in a mature Lady approached my roadster and she was telling me that she learned to drive in a "t" like mine before Ga. issued a drivers license in rural areas I asked if she thought she could still drive one and she informed me she could barley see 20 ft, but asked if I could give her great grandson a ride, I did gladly, he thought it was great!
