Might be a old remake, but it shows its age and has the perfect look for a shop.

It is plywood with a paper glued on the front aged to look old. First saw a similar one 20 years ago.
New
Repop, or fantasy product?
a little of both
wow
Got my key board yesterday. Not as fancy as the the ones they want $$$$$$$$. But nice.
A few years back I reproduced copies of the original keyboard in aluminum and powder coated them in black and filled the letters and numbers with an acrylic white that allowed the over runs to be wiped off with a damp cloth before it hardened and not affect the black background. I only sold them at Hershey and a few locally for $150 which I didn't think was too high at the time but still many T guys want one for under a hundred because it a repop. But the OCD guys will pay several hundreds of dollars for one that's bent up, rusted and missing hooks just because it's an original and because they take up a lot of time to complete I haven't remade any lately and using the big "F" word at the top could have gotten me in trouble as well.
There was another guy awhile back making them as a stamping as originally made but was putting the numbers and letters on as decals. However, he may have been trying get them done as a stamping as well but I haven't heard anything lately. Bob
If I had known about yours, I would have bought one for $150. I still would like one, if it was avilable.
here is one of my originals.
here is one with keys
Here is another key board, it is metal.
This must have been made by a company supplying Ford non genuine keys.
The normal Ford keys do not fit, the pins holding the keys have a knob on the end which is too big for them. Their keys have a larger hole.
Slightly OT for the original post, but will my switch tell me somewhere what key it takes?
Tim, sure, just look closely right besides where you put the key - the number of the right key will be stamped there if you've got an original.
Here's a picture of a #65 tumbler Steve Jelf posted in another switch thread:
bob u got any I can buy,
Sorry Mike for not answering this sooner. I have a couple seconds that have slight cosmetic defects but wouldn't sell them sight unseen to someone so you would have wait until Hershey this fall.
I did get the pattern out and if I have time before Hershey I will make up some more and maybe Lang will take a couple to sell but the four letter word that starts with F, no not that one, that's at the top may be a stopper for him. To get Ford's OK on lower demand items like this can be more of a hassle then it's worth.
Bob,
I would love to buy one of your seconds. Do not see me making it to Hershey any time soon, but would trust a picture if you'd be willing to send one.
Hi From Iowa: Wow those are great Key Boards! I also would like to purchase a 2nd!!I will probably not find an original, but one of yours would sure be neat in the Cave!! Let me know where to catch up with you at Hershey and I will be tickled to Buy one!! Thanks John
Bob,
