I am new to this forum. I inherited some Model T parts from my wife's grandfather and I am having trouble identifying these parts (photo attached) Can anybody identify them?
Priming cups. Not Model T,but very good property.
If you use the left one on a car, you may lose points because of the bolt handle.
Got'em on my '29 Lincoln.
They screw into the heads.
If you have to hand crank start a big V8 with an updraft carb:
Open them on one bank to lower compression.
Put gas in them while closed on the other bank.
Set choke, throttle & retard spark.
Turn on ignition.
Quickly open & close to prime cylinders.
Crank to start, then quickly close open side.
Thank you for the input. Nice to learn something new!
