When i got home from work tonight i was greeted by a package at my front door, my rebuilt coils had arrived, OH GOODY! Didn't even go in the house because i couldn't wait to see how the coils performed, and if it was going to solve my hard starting problem. Installed the coils, propped up my hood half way to turn the gas on, and away we go. In my rush for T satisfaction, i forgot about my only partially open hood, jumped in and to my delight she started right up..YAY! This was great, more gas i asked? of course i answered. Than my hood vibrated its way off its precarious perch and bounced off my fender taking two big chips of paint with it! My own stupid fault for not paying attention to the basics when the T goodies come in the mail.

You can drive it now and not worry about beautiful women sitting on the fender.

Very good point..The paint is far from perfect, its a driver. Just mad at myself for being so careless.

I painted my steering column last night, finished up, cleaned my hands and turned to go back to house and heard a large clank, crash. Looks like Im repainting it again tonight. I never stop making mistakes, I just stopped getting all upset about it.

Ha, nothing invites disaster (usually small ones) like fresh paint. Why that is, We will never know. David, we should all be more like your attitude, as the mistakes are not likely to stop happening.

I've heard of worse! One of our members loaded his car on an open trailer and forgot to latch the hood. It flew off and by the time he was able to turn around and go after it, the hood had been run over and completely ruined!
