That's one of those "Fuzzy" timers. Performance with them was pretty fuzzy, so they didn't sell very well. Due to their poor selling, they are very rare and extremely valuable.

I think it's an "Old Ironside"? I have an old ad that shows a timer very similar to this one.
Yes I had one once. It is probably sheet brass that is plated and while they look nice the pressure from the mounting arm crushes the center in like that one. I don't think they lasted long.

Hey that picture of Fuzzy Knight reminded me of a party I went to in the late '60s. That was a fuzzy night I paid for, for a long, long time. With child support, restitution and a lot of legal fees that fuzzy night should be paid off before I'm 137 years old.
