Bought a vehicle with a something called "Thomas Distributor." Pot metal body - cheap. Am trying to restore the vehicle to the original Ford ignition system. Have the distributor body off, but cannot figure out how to remove the distributor drive gear from the camshaft. I see no pins or set screws holding the gear on. Radiator is on the car, so I cannot see if there is an something through the center of the drive gear securing it to the camshaft. Any advice appreciated.

Remove radiator! It's not a big deal.

Some of the drive gears screwed onto the cam shaft. If this is the case you should see the flats for the wrench.

Would like to know how the drive gear is secured before I do that.

Radiator off. Just a hole through the gear and the end of the camshaft.
