I have a copy, and enjoyed it. Published by MIT Press in 1970. Scholarly, but an interesting tread. It contains some interesting statistics from the early era such as "Entrances and Exits of Ninety-three Principal Automobile Manufacturers, 1903-1912." Also, summaries of motor vehicle registrations by year (8,000 in 1900; 944,000 in 1912).
I think he intended to write another one that picks up in 1911 where this book leaves off?
I picked up his book "The Automobile Age," it was a little dry.
