Model T Ford Forum: Forum 2014: 26 starter button mount

How should the starter button be mounted?

Dose it bolt to the wood floorboard? My car has it mounted to a homebrew steel plate which is not correct. I don't know if my car didn't originally have a starter which may be the reason for the steel plate and no factory bracket?

Thanks for your help!
Justin.

Justin, You should have two holes on the top of the left frame rail that the starter bracket shown in Gregs thread bolts to. These two holes will be the correct size and spacing for the bracket.

Justin,
Thanks, I got my first one (that one) after I joined the club.
T ownership is not a requirement. Our monthly meeting is on the 26th @ 7pm (4th Thurs of month) at the Vineyard on Edith, just South of Osuna. Please come if you can.
