Have any of you guys seen this accessory before? It looks like it would go on an NH. Did it accomplish anything worthwhile?

Even if it did at the time, I'd venture that modern gasoline is sufficiently carbon-free that a rig like that won't do much.
Just another get rich quick scheme....
If you Google it, you will see it was regularly advertised in Popular Mechanics and Popular Science magazines in the 1920s and boasted 50 to 60 miles per gallon.
Also, the ads mention that a person could make $250 to $500 per month selling the gizmo.

As Eric says it is bait looking for a sucker. Hundreds of useless gadgets of this type were made in the past. Similar garbage is for sale today and people continue to fall for it. Marvel Mystery Oil, for example, has fooled generations of otherwise intelligent people.
But MMO smells SOOOOOO good! =)
Just like magnets to align the fuel molecules for better performance,horsepower and mileage!
