Hi 'ya folks,
Got the T running and driving again. I made a fun video for all to enjoy.

Jim that's great! You were zipping along pretty good starting about the 1:10 mark. It shouldn't use that much gas - what carb do you have? You should be able to get 20 mpg or better. Fun video though! I giggled when the bump made the windshield fall, I've done that before.
Hi 'ya Seth,
I think it has a Holly carburetor but I'm not 100% sure. Its a lump of cast iron with a center drain on the bowel.
The fuel tank and carb were drained and sealed prior to putting the car in storage several decades ago.
The carb hasn't been off the engine yet and appears to be functional. The mixture adjustment seems to work fine.

Interesting point about 'some' T carb's...worth checking
If the needle valve is set 1/8 too closed it will never start and run...
BUT...you can have the needle valve a full turn plus over needed and you may not even notice it. Sure if is burning overly rich and should smoke, foul the air, foul plugs and blow apart mufflers when you turn it off....but a lot of the time you have a set of plugs that fire thru the soot...your nose never senses it...and your only tell-tale is you go thru fuel like you are feeding a jet engine!
Just a comment, for best gas mileage ALWAYS set the carb when warm CW until it spits and then open 1/8. If it then sputters in high at that setting then open it another 1/8 once or twice until it stops sputtering in high. THAT is the sweet spot...and best mpg you are going to get out of the carb for your own other driving habits.
Jim,I t think you've made the best Model T video I've ever watched.
