Doug Partington's new book is out. What a great pictorial plus history of a very original and complete restored Rajo Race car from the 1920s. Lots of history and another great read.

It's called "The Road From Leura Australia To Lincoln Nebraska"

Doug's car was entered into the Hall of Fame in the Museum of American speed in Nebraska last June.

They are around $30 ea plus postage and worth every sent. Am about 2/3 the way through reading it and really enjoying the book.

Doug's first race in the Rajo 1962 before restoration

Thank you Mark for your endorsement. Producing the book was a greater challenge than I anticipated but the feedback I have had made the effort required worthwhile. The first 100 copies sold out in 4 days much to my surprise so another batch are being printed next week.As many T people know the story of my car is very interesting and the book includes photo's from the 1920's till to day. The story concludes with it induction into the Speedster & Racer "Hall of Fame" last year hence the title "The Road from Leura Australia to Lincoln USA" The Journey of the Wikner Ford Special I am so lucky to own it.

Doug,

Great book and story. Thank you for building the racer and book. And thank you for the copy. This morning I return to Lincoln for an AACA meet and will stay at the same hotel I met you and your mates at. I regret that you will not be in attendance this time. The group stops at "The Museum of Speed" on Friday. I'll look for your plaque, and of course, mention that you are a personal friend.... Who needs to be famous when one has famous friends?

:-)

Thank you again,

Rob

I would like to endorse everyone's remarks. I have known Doug for 47 years, and saw the Wickner long before it was restored to it's pristine condition it is in today. I was also privileged to have been there at Lincoln this time last year for the induction into the Speedster & Racer Hall of Fame. The book is a great documentation of the history of this very special Model T.

Best regards, John Page Australia

Just received my book during the week. Until the induction into the Hall of Fame I had no idea about this car or the person behind it. I am only about 1/3 through reading it and can highly recommend the book. Thank you Doug for signing mine!
