Looks like Diane & I getting ready to climb back up the grade in our Centerdoor at the MTFCA National Tour headquarters held in Whitefish Montana a few years back !
Just near the top was a dog-leg turn just like that when Diane said "I think the floorboards are on fire" - not quite but Boy, were they hot !
There is a very long hill in northeast Oklahoma where the road rises from Flint Creek to the plateau above. My grandfolks used to live in a town a few miles away from the bottom of the hill and had family a few miles from the top. On Sundays they often drove to visit with them, in their Model T. She said that everyone who drove up that hill took picnic lunches with them and took a break about halfway up it, and stopped to eat while the Model T's cooled off. It was a big social event all the way up the hill.
