I know I have read about this before, but can the 3rd spark plug hole lifting ring be used to install an engine and transmission assembly in a model T with an aluminum Z head? I have done it numerous times using the original cast iron head, but never a Z-head. Has anyone done this and is it strong enough to do the job without hurting this new Z head? It would be a bummer to destroy a never before used head.
I have done so. Still running the car today and it runs like a top.
It's plenty strong for that.
