So I'm making a dial gas gauge and I need a program I can use to make and print a dial face for it. What is free and easy to use out there?

Ha, Dennis, I was hoping to go a little nicer finished product.

Your pencil may be a better artist than mine.

Make the drawing on white paper and about four times the size you need. The tricky part is the lettering.

Ink all of the lines with a wet-ink pen and make the lines thick enough. Remember a 1/32" line on the gauge must be an eighth of an inch thick on the drawing.

If you need circular printing, then get some rubber cement and print the letters on a sheet of paper, cut them out with a Friskit knife an . Exacto knife will do. Draw a circle of the correct size on the drawing with a light blue (non-photographic Blue) pencil and mark off equal spaces to place the letters. Remember that M's and W's are wider than I's and l's

Scan and print the gauge on heavy paper. If you need a black face simply go into your photo-shop mode and reverse the image.

You can actually paint the gauge with a mop in a parking lot and take a picture from a helicopter.
