So my driver's side axle shaft has some bad wear from what looks like a long ago bearing failure. Where can I get a suitable replacement? Anyone have a TT rear with spare parts? On the plus side I figured out I have the 5.?? ring and not the 7.??. I'm happy about that one.

Thanks Tim. Hoping to find one in AZ so that I don't have to ship an axle.

How often you get into phoenix? I might be able to help. I know I've got several but I'll have to give them a look over. I'm in SoCal but work for a company and we have a branch in Phoenix and ship there once a week on our own truck. I'll have a look at what I've got and get back on here.

Thanks Scott. I'd even be up for driving to CA to pick it up. I live West of Phoenix in Buckeye, but I work in downtown Phoenix.

Clint,
Just thought I would share this with you, maybe to ease my pain a bit.
I found two NOS TT axels on e-bay several years ago, guy said he bought them 20 years ago from Bob's in Ill., any way no one bid on them so I ended up with them really reasonable. Had them shipped in a big brown truck from Colorado to Utah. When the box arrived I picked it up one handed. It was then that I noticed a hole in the bottom of the box and they were both gone.
I did the claim thing and after numerous phone calls the gal told me they would refund my money so I could go back and buy new ones from the supplier. I told her Ford quit building them in 1927, and the chances of finding any were non existent. She wasn't impressed. Never found any more NOS axles, although someone has some real nice shafts to support their tomato plants!!!!
Good luck, I feel better now!
Kevin

Got a replacement axle shaft from Don in Tucson. Great meeting you Don and thanks for sharing some of your knowledge. Thanks all for offering to help. Now I am one step closer to getting the truck back on the road.
