Greetings, I fell in love with a few old cars. Can anyone tell me what I have here. There were no titles and old old old owner hadnt drove or uncovered in over 30 years. any idea on if getting title will be a issue. What value should I insure for?
This is a 1917 to 1922 touring which has had the back half removed and fitted with an aftermarket truck body. Ford didn't build a truck until 1925
This is a very common conversion. Could be cute with a good cleaning and doing whatever is required to get the running gear in shape. Good "character" and could be quite attractive as a survivor. All that assumes - the body is reasonably solid, the drive train isn't total trash, and you like the look. Like the other car, any help the owner could provide in filing for a lost title would be real helpful.
Thanks, Im looking forward to being the caregiver of this survivor. Motor turns and seems to all be there.
What's the car in the background? It's not a T.
it is a 1919 dodge truck, It was part of the package deal with the two fords. Pictures are in another post.
Thanks. Just read the other post with the truck.
im just amazed that there are still a few treasures hide out in a barn, lost in time! The cost of the car is worth the history lesson and the glance back into time.
