I'm doing this job for a guy that has a good set of buckets except for the missing front brass bezels. He has the hinge parts and the latch piece taken from the old rims which I have to reattach to the new brass replacement bezels or should I say doors or rims he had purchased. My only question is how are the glass lens attached to doors? Are they held in like on the later steel ones with small metal clips attached to the rim and then bend over to hold the glass? Also what is the diameter of the glass lens used in a 14. I only find vendors showing 15 on up lens in their catalogs. Bob
Bob I have some old flat round original lens what size do you need? danuser88@ktis.net
Bob,
There is a heavy piece of spring like wire that fits in the rim that holds the glass in place.
I have a couple and will try and post a photo. Most vendors have the rims. They need the hinges and latches riveted on.
