There is a first time benefit car show in a small burg about 10 miles SW of me so I figured I'd take the '19 Touring.
Thought if I'm going to go I might as well shoot for the oldest car there...... :-) .......and it was.
I took a ride around town when I got back and while I was at a stop sign in the village a young dude in a jacked up pickup stopped, rolled down the window and said "That is AWESOME!"........I don't think that car has ever been called AWESOME before.
That made my whole day!

Craig, "Awesome" is a word that often comes to mind when I think about fifteen million Model T's and all they can do. Your '19 certainly looks AWESOME to me. Back in '09 I got my T, it had been outside in a open ended Quonset Hut for thirteen years and after installing a new gas tank and line, having the carburetor rebuilt and charging the battery it started right up!

Happy motoring,

Warren

My model T is "cool". My 15 yo son is not Keen on Ts. I took him to soccer training in the T. All his teamates said "cool car Jackson". Now even Jackson thinks its ok to be seen in the T.

I'm glad I went to the show.
There were quite a few area cars for a first (one time?) event.......lots of 60's-70's and later muscle cars (NOT my thing)......I had thought about taking my '65 Mustang Coupe but nah.......
I also met a friend there I rarely see.
He grew up in town and is president of the Central Wisconsin chapter of MAFCA.
The second oldest car was a '24 Buick Roadster also owned by a friend.
I'm not much of a "show" guy......or a car guy as far as that goes. Odd since I have 6 (soon to be 5) cars.
But sitting/standing/walking around all day isn't my thing so I stayed only about an hour and a half.

That kid might one day wind up being a T owner. I bet the weather up there is uh AWESOME in the summer. You not selling your Dodge?

SELL my DODGE??? HEAVENS no.
Since I finally got the front wheel toe-in right (just 2 days ago) it's FINALLY a pleasure to drive....... :-)
Besides.......the Dodge is my wife's favorite car.......she calls it "The Gangster Car".
Selling the wife's favorite car wouldn't be very bright on my part....... LOL

As far as the T's go.......it's a very rare occasion someone doesn't have a question or complement them.......it's amazing how many young people like them....... :-)

While on Don Lang's tour a few years back we were on Martha's Vineyard. We had a school bus stop in front of us and unload a bunch of junior high kids. Several boys immediately ran up the road and stuck their thumbs out to hitch a ride from anybody going across the length of the island I guess. They didn't see us but my wife Renee' and I saw them and pulled over to give them a ride. Once they figured out we had stopped to give them a ride they ran to our car and piled in the back seat. We gave them a ride for about a mile or more and one boy asked questions all the time while the other one just sat there with his eyes wide open and was taking in every inch of our T. Finally they told us they needed to get off at the next block. When we pulled over to let them out the silent one said

"Wow - that is the BADDEST car I ever rode in..."

I think the word BADDEST is junior high slang for AWESOME or COOL. We enjoyed the short visit with them and wondered what they told their classmates the next day since Model T's were all over the island that day and they got to ride in one.
