I have been using all the available free time i have after work and on the weekends to drive my new T and feel comfortable with her, and what a difference that had made to my blood pressure :-). Now with the confidence of knowing i am in complete control and in harmony with Mildred, i don't fixate on all those other damn cars on the road...Let the fun begin!

Nice. One thing I appreciate about eastern states like Massachusetts and Kansas is how things are green in the summer. Where I was raised out west everything that isn't watered is dead from spring to fall.

Steve, summer and fall are the wonderful gifts we get here for enduring what seems to be endless winter. I love it here. Looking at your profile and pics you looked like someone born and raised in Kansas. What was it that made you move?

Short version: Folks from here, moved to California when they got married in '36. I was born & raised there. By '85 I was fed up with urban hassle and escaped back here. Every year or two I go back to L.A. to visit friends and remind myself how glad I am that I got the hell out.

My grandfather built this new house after the old one burned in 1917.

Great story Steve, that house looks very intriguing with that huge carport/garage attached.

That's the living room under construction. Here's the house in 2007.

And in 2011 with my cousin Chad Spangler.
