I have a 1919 C door. Having problems with the low gear pedal. It will NOT move forward with the low pedal depressed. It moves in reverse and will move forward with the hand clutch forward.
I took the trany cover plate off and the low band looks good? Hoping it is in the adjustment.
Any suggestions? Where should I start looking?
Thanks, Chuck
I also have a '19 Centerdoor - sounds as though you need to adjust your low band (large locknut & adjuster on right side of trans. cover) up some. Is there any thread left showing on the adjuster ?
Loosen large nut, turn adjuster in c.w. several turns, replace floorboard to check pedal stopping a inch and a half to two inches above board when fully depressed.
I did adjust but may have not done enough? Hope it is not something worse???
I will try again tomorrow!
Thanks
Steve: Do you have a Clum ignition switch in your C-door?
I am looking for a key.
I just put the engine back in the car and had three oil leaks and a frost plug leak--working on those. I used a nickel to replace the plug. It worked.
