What gauge wire should I use for the 12v battery I'm going to use in my '14 T? I bought the really heavy gauge cable but it looks really, really big! I think it's overkill and maybe a smaller gauge wire would work?

The bigger the better.

Does your 14 have a starter?

Generally the 12v battery cables are 4ga, I would stick to a 2ga min - 1ga.

The bigger the better unless u don't have a starter like Paul said. I have a '14 with a 12volt battery and no starter. I have a 14 gauge wire from battery to coil box.

No, my T does not have a starter so I'm guessing 14 gauge wire will suffice.

Without a starter and feeding secondary circuits only I suggest 10 gauge.

I will second what Ron said but I would also add a 10 gauge ground wire from the frame ground connection to the motor. I attach the ground to one of the bolts that hold the 4th main in place.
