Has anyone here ever seen any data or studies on how long, and how many miles a T motor will usually go if maintained properly? I know its a pretty subjective question being that its hard to determine actual mileage on a T and the fact that they were usually driven hard, and put away wet! I was just curios considering how they were designed for very harsh conditions back in the day.

John,
If you read this past thread you would come up with; check/adjust rods and mains about every 10,000 with a valve job thrown in every so often (depending on the type of valves and seats) for a total engine life between major overhauls of about 50 to 100k.

Everyone's mileage will vary.
Jim

Thanks Jim, i will have to do some more research here about the procedures of the adjustments you just mentioned. The joys of owning a T.
