You often hear the term "They don't make them like they used to". In the case of books this certainly isn't the case at least at Arion Press in the USA.

Must visit this place when I'm in SF. There were copies available before the PBS program was aired; all gone now. Original copies of the book can sell for many thousands depending on the edition.
