If you would like to take an easy one day tour the Denver Mile High T Club is doing a one day tour from Loveland to Estes on Sept 16th. We will be traveling on Highway 34 which has been totally repaired from last September's Flood. All the repairs are finished and the road is as good or better than ever. We would like to have anyone come that would like to. You do not have to belong to any Club. You can leave your car trailer at The La Quinta Motel. That will be that starting spot. We will depart at 9Am.

My 24 Coupe on top of Trail Ridge above Estes.
Some of the people going to Estes on August 16th will want to go up to sheep meadows. You can see Trail Ridge above the top of the 16. This is half the way to the top. You can not see the other half behind the peak.
The next picture is my 24 coupe almost to the top of Trail Ridge at Forest Canyon Overlook.
Dave. Been thru Estes a couple time while on vacation. Beautiful country. I heard tonight that they are having flooding in Colorado again. Any chance it will affect the road again ... ?? One more thing. The pics show snow. Quite a bit of snow for August ...(grin )
Donnie Brown:
I have heard about some rain elsewhere but nothing on 34. I live about 8 or less miles from 34 and we only got a tenth of an inch of rain. Highway 34 is in great condition and will be on August 16th. There is always some snow in places on the peaks that is what makes the scenery so beautiful, unlike San Diego or Lytle TX. I try to get up Trail Ridge or some other place in the mountains about every other week. Lately I have so many Ruckstells, Transmissions and wheels come in that I have not been able to get away. I did find some part time to work on my own today. I am still able to drive to town for a quick cup of coffee every morning.

Sorry, I meant to post this picture:
I would like to remind everyone about the trip to Estes Park. If you are close enough to do a one day trip to Estes we would like to invite you. You can have your choice of going to some of the many things to do in Estes or going to SHEEP MEADOWS for some nice scenery. You will usually see some Rocky Mountain Sheep or many Elk at Sheep meadows.
We will meet at the La Quinta Inn on 34 in the West End of Loveland. at 9AM. The Motel allows us to park our trailer at the motel while we are in Estes.
Please contact Ron JHackson at 720-220-4744 if you think you are interested.
I forgot to say that there is no registration fee for the Estes trip. Just show up at the La Quinta and go.
