Can someone please share with me the steps for installing trunk hinges and the trunk lid on a 1926 coupe? I'm thinking I will have to remove the package tray and sheet metal behind it to fit the trunk lid with hinges in place.

Hi Rich, I had to remove the package tray and the rear seat to get to the hinge mounts. I tried and failed at any other attempt. You can put one hinge on and then pivot the trunk lid back until the other hinge is on the lid. But the only way to get to the bolts is from inside the car.
Opps...it is done best with two people...one in and one out.
Rich, Don is right. I tried everything I could. Then took the package tray out. The 2 back bolts didnt want to come out. I though they were sheet metal screws. I was wrong. I drilled them out. Things will go easy now. Scott
Thanks for your input. I removed the package tray which made it possible for me to attach the hinges and trunk lid to my coupe.
I also attached the driver's side door. Ground up restoration close to completion.
Great fit on the trunk lid. Beautiful color. I would say that is about as close to the factory original channel green you can get. Please post a picture of the entire car. Jim Patrick
