I am thinking of installing this oil can w/mount on my '20 Touring. About what year did Ford start selling these? Also seems about the only place to install is right side of firewall right above exhaust manifold .... built in oil heater??
From what I understand, the can is part of the tool kit that came with the car - the bracket was never sold by Ford, but is an aftermarket accessory.
As far as placement - that looks about as good as any.
Find this type of accessory oil can bracket, it mounts to the engine! Shakes enough oil out the spout to keep the timer lubed
John, if you shift the steering column to the correct side, there is plenty of room on the left for the oilcan bracket!!!!
Allan from down under.
Here's a few different ones from our collection.
Here's the link to the Accessory of the day threads on these.

I like the double - gas for the priming cups and oil - good find!
Thanks for all the feedback, I didn't know these came with the cars when new. Neat oil can holder collection, the lower right is the one I have. A RH drive would definitely free up some more space ... gonna have to think some more on that one.
