Well, my summer '14 project is coming along and I installed my new dash and put the engine compartment back together. I really like the color of the dash - so thanks to all who recommended Laurel Mountain Cherry!!! I guess I should have dusted it off before taking the pictures. Now I just have to get the front axle straightened and re-assemble the front end. I'm also waiting for a new set of tubes from Langs' - apparently they are on backorder. I have a new set of wheels (courtesy of Stutzman's) that need painting then I can mount my new set of Wards Riversides. I'm hoping to be on the road by next month, so keep your fingers crossed for me!
Bill I love the firewall color too! That's fantastic. Laurel Mountain Cherry is beautiful. Also those headlights you have look to be in flawless shape. Mine are a bit beat to death.
Nice project, how about some more pictures.

Nice job.
Car and dash look awesome!!
Thanks for the compliments, guys! I'll keep posting more pictures as I go along with the project.
Bill, where did you get the cherry stain?
Laurel Mountain Forge makes it - just google the name. It's a gun stock stain but it sure works great. Not cheap, but the small bottle (4 oz.)was enough to do my entire dash and it matches the original red color that I found on the original dash.

Bill, will you be bringing the '14 to Michigan Jamboree next month?
Mike
Mike, I don't think the car will be road ready by the time of the Michigan jamboree. Unfortunately, I won't be attending due to a wedding I have to attend that weekend in the U.P.
Bill,
Your car is looking great! It will be no time at all you will be enjoying the wind in your face (another nice thing about Fords -- the wind in your face is nicer at slower speeds).
Respectfully submitted,
