Looks like my '28 Scout (though I haven't got any side car or milk bottle) - first year with a front brake, but can't remember if the '29:s also had the plunger type valve lifter going through the tank?
I'd like to see a higher resolution version of that photo. The 101 scout appears to have clincher rims, which would make it a 1928. Drop center rims came out in 1929. That is a sweet rig. I used to have a 1929 scout and a 1930 Indian four cylinder. I still have a 1928 Indian Chief. Wonderful machines!
