Does an original front floor mat in a 26 27 touring (or any T for that matter) have slits for the pedals or is the entire square around all three pedals cut out.?? The slits never seem to be where you need them on the repro floor mats ... Thanks ...

Donnie

The 1925 and earlier mats have rectangular cut out for the pedals and a slit for the lever.

Original 1924 mat

As for the Improved Car, haven't seen original but since the repro have the slits, I just widen them some, with a round circle punched at each end to stop the splitting.

My 1927's floormat looks exactly like the one in Dan's second photo. I think it's original or a factory replacement prior to WW2. I know for a fact that the car hasn't been driven much since then, so it is possible that it has been in the car for 60 or more years.
