My oldest boy showed me a NEW 30 x 3 1/2 tube yesterday that had been under his seat. It had two separations about 5 inches long where it had been folded. It was a tube from some company that I had never heard off
I usually carry an extra tube under the seat of my Ts for long trips of a week or more. I only use UNIVERSAL TUBES and have never had a problem with them no matter how long I leave them folded under the seat.
I suppose someone will jump up and yell that they have problems with universal tubes but I don't and would recommend them to any new T owners.

How long had the tube been folded under the seat? Any tube will fail when folded for an extended period of time.

Hey Dave,
I missed that comment in the first post, but any other brad I would be careful with. I collected toy tractors in the past, and I noticed that many of the toy crawler tractors would have the molded rubber tracks break and fall of if they were left in a display case, but the same toy would still have good tracks if it had been played with. I always figured that rotating the tracks kept it from developing cracks at the bend, but now I think it is just Karma, any toy that is left on a shelf and not played with is not right with the world.
