Are the current repro light sockets EXACTLY like the originals or are they different? And if different, how does one make them like the originals?

Seems what is really the issue for correct beam is the modern lamps, they have the filament in horizontal and the old Ford bulbs are vertical filament, so the modern bulbs we use don't provide a real satisfactory beam. Gets by. But only real fix is to rotate the socket, but that means a new hole in the bucket for the adj. screw :-(

Dan, this is one application for the offset screws shown in a recent post, the ones to use in mis-aligned holes.
