I'm about ready to send my seat springs to the upholstery shop but I'm not sure if I have them attached to the frames correctly. I made the lower frames using an old one for a pattern. It looks like there will be a gap between the lower cushions. Is that correct? I used a seat back frame for a 26-27 coupe but it looks like it will work. I just had to make new modified lower supports. Thanks for any input. - Mike
I have a 24 Coupe and there is a gap between the cushions. After the upholstery is installed it will be less noticeable.
The seat cushions wood framework has a 3/4" hole on the bottom where the metal round stub on the metal frame goes into to hold the cushion in place.
On my car there is a metal clip that the seat spring attached to hold it in place. The clip is attached to the shelf that's behind the spring.
After looking in Snyders catalogue it does show the seat backrests for T Coupes 15-27 have the same part nos. I didn't realize they were the same till you mentioned you have a 26-27 backrest.
They list them separately but the part nos. are the same. Just learned something!
