Of course the is a huge difference, and much progress in tools, equipment and technique has been made over the years, however, this is just a bit like comparing apples & oranges! The old car had 4 guys working on the car, and the new car had twenty!
Also Formula One no longer allows refueling of the cars during the race. Impressive to see a set of wheel changes in about four seconds.
