1 if I decide to install new door skins how is the best way, do they install like a late model car by bending the edge over
2 how is best way to re contour the. Curve at the bottom of door.
4should the rear of cab be straight across
5. Drivers door is cracked right at the striker and I have to pull out on the cab door frame a little to latch the door.
6 should the roof have a metal sheet top on the wood formers
Oh it's a 25 closed cab TT thanks guys
Oh I forgot one patterns for floorboards thanks
Oh one more anyone have floor board patterns
1. They weld in at the belt line below the window opening and crimp around the remaining 3 edges.
2. The replacement skin will have the contour already, or at least close
4. Rear of cab is flat
5.Doors always crack in that spot. Weld it straight and go on
6.No sheet metal on top, just black cloth first tacked on the wood from the top so you can see the wood with black behind it when looking up sitting in the seat. Then a layer of some sort of padding topped with vinyl. At least that is the way I remember.
The new skins install just like modern cars, bend and crimp them over, have fun!
Not sure on #2. The curve follows the door frame.
What happened to #3?
Basically straight.
Straighten it and weld up the crack.
The roof goes wood strips, black muslin, top material.
Thanks Jeff any idea how to go about bending the door back to fit curve of the sill mine is pushed in almost flat

My TT has the wood with the black cloth on top of that, then chicken wire, then cotton batting, then the exterior vinyl.
