Can I use the US pedal shafts or are the holes drilled different? What about the cams? I am setting this up for a customer so he can use removable bands.
Thanks
Mark, the LH cams are usable in RH covers. I have used them, but cannot remember if the reverse cam fits reverse, or whether you need to transpose e reverse cam for a brake cam etc. I have never used LH shafts, RH drive ones being different lengths being externally adjusted, and probably having the pedal shaft pin holes and cam rivet holes in different relationships. I make my own new ones.
Hope this helps.

Mark, if you have a RHD transmission cover do you have the pedals?
If so what exactly is it you need to do to change to removable bands, normally all that's needed is to cut off the ends of the early shafts and change or alter the adjusters for the reverse and brake.
The shafts and holes for them are very worn so I am just going to install the newer type shafts and parts. Yes we have the pedals, they are the ribbed/letter type. He is building an 1913 speedster.

Mark, As Allan said the LHD shafts and cams are the opposite to RHD. The easiest fix is to make new shafts and use the old shafts as a guide for the new ones.
Drill the holes and put on the cams, place them in the hogs head and put on the pedal to find the correct place to drill the holes for it.
Thanks Peter; I didn't understand his different lengths reference. I forgot I and a left type low pedal in a box in the shop and compared them this AM. Now I understand.
Thanks
