Tomorrow's American Pickers will have a 100 year old Turbo Charged model T that the owners says can go 75 MPH
I'll be happy if it can get mine to do 25 MPH!
75 MPH with 30 MPH brakes! hmmmmm
I have it set. The young guy at the radiator shop in last year's California run told us they had filmed another show. He had stuff for sale at the Long Beach swap.
100 year old turbo charger? Possible. That is about when the first ones were built (although called something different and somewhat different methods). I don't know if I will be able to watch it or not, but I would be curious to see the show.
Drive carefully, and enjoy, W2
The preview did not show a turbocharger. It did show an overhead valve conversion with a big side draft carb, maybe a Fronty or Rajo.
Hopefully they're not doing this to an original car.
Maybe Mike meant a 100 y.o. car with a turbo, not a 100 y.o. turbo...we'll know when we watch the show. We DVR about everything so we can skip through the stupid commercials.
The boys from Texas had a TT with a charger on it they drove to the centennial.
The only charger my T has seen is the one I use to put electrons in the battery!
It has a Fronty on it.
