Hi, Ok I now have my new Firestones and tubes. The Tubes say EEC on them. So what country is this? China? and how do they hold up? I thought I was told they were made in Denmark.

EEC = European Economic Community

I recommend you air up the tubes and check for leaks with soapy water. I had problems with a few of those tubes made in Denmark, had to send them back to the vendor.

I'd definitely do as Donald suggested and air them up for a few days to see whether they hold air, regardless of where they were made. There have been lots of problems with the new tubes from several sources. Better to find out about any potential problems before mounting the tires on them.

Slight thread drift.
I don't know about the 21" tubes from EEC. But these past two years I have been having a lot of trouble with tire patches on my 30X tubes. Some of them have been older, but most under about five years. Some of them I got second hand and needed to be patched before using. I have patched so many tubes over the past 40 years, I would not expect me to have problems. Maybe the patches or cement have changed? The good brands I used to always use are no longer available locally.
Just wondering. It is frustrating. In the past two weeks, I have had three tires that have held good pressure for from six months to two years go dead flat overnight. Then not air up and hold for even ten minutes.
Drive carefully, and enjoy, W2
