That was too "cool"!! LOL However......timer maintenance is little worry with the TW carbon brush timer. Just put one on my '15 yesterday after running one a year on the '12 with no problems. The new one's now have a neat little wire gizmo to greatly aid positioning the brush while sliding on the cover. The swap out was all of 15 minutes. Runs great. Maybe remove it once a year to wipe it out is all, not sure even need to do that.

I don't have a link but I heard where someone was saying the foundation that the donations go to has reported a 400% increase in donations since the ice bucket challenge started getting big.

Does it count if you use a bar of soap ??? Great cause, my wife & oldest son have participated locally.... youngest & myself are next this weekend.

This is great. Our club, The Greater Milwaukee has participated in an MS Walk the last few years. There isn't any ice involved, but sometimes rain drops. Model T people understand the need and will step up to the plate for things like MS and ALS.

Thanks for the great feedback, I thought of you Ralph immediately when I received the challenge which of course inspired the Model T theme after watching Bill Gates method. Glad to see Rob, Dave and other fellow Model T enthusiasts participating in fund raising and the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

Gosh, the silence from the three challenged is defining considering only about 17 hours remaining to put up or pay up. Is it possible all three simultaneously missed a post involving the beloved stock timer?

Mike, Thanks for your thoughtfulness. I like many of us here probably did not realize what the ice bucket craze is all about.
I hope everyone here will accept the challenge as I did and join in to help out a great cause and one that has hit one of our dear members here on the forum.

If everyone here would give something, even a small amount, in the end this turns out to be something huge.

Please don't just think the other guys will do it and that I don't count. It is all of us together that adds up!

Sorry about the tan Rob, but being a pure blooded Dane tends to keep me white. Plus the dermatologist just removed 3 precancerous spots on my head and arms, so there won't be a lot of tanning anymore.

With two teenage daughters in the house, I think you need to do that challenge again with a big bucket of ice. Turning the hose on your face just doesn't do it. I wanna see a REAL ice challenge.

I still haven't seen any comments from Royce, Ron, John, or Hal yet. Maybe we need to retitle this post E-timer and see what happens. But then this post might get censored out of existence.
