After 80 plus years the Kings Special was running again this summer. Super rare Roof single overhead cam and lots of Model T speed goodies.
Fantastic restoration.

Bill,

It is good to see you posting and thank you so much for the link. What a great piece of Canada and Ford racing history! Below are a couple of photos from the Jul – Aug 1988 “Vintage Ford” about the same car [used by permission]. The first one is also shown on the web site link and you can see the large "K" for King and "S" for special but the other letters did not show up very well.

And below from page 7 is a stock Model T piston and rod on the left and the King’s Special aluminum piston and connecting rod on the right. Both were drilled to reduce the weight.

And below from page 10 is the transmission and flywheel that was cut down to lighten it. The triple gears also had holes drilled in them and the reverse gear drum was removed.

It is great story on the web site and it is good great to know the car is running under its own power.

Respectfully submitted,

Hap l9l5 cut off

I saw this car, in person, at the recent Michigan Jamboree of T's. The fellow who restored it drove it around the motel parking lot. A VERY cool car!
