Mount Pleasant, Iowa comes alive this Thursday through Labor Day. Possibly still the biggest in the nation. Based on past years there will be 150+ antique cars and trucks, 1000+ antique tractors, 1200+ stationary one and two cylinder stationary engines! an old town that was used to film parts of Dr Quin Medicine Woman, gun fights, train roberies, bank hold ups, two steam trains running continuously, 100+ steam farm tractors, 20+ just as bih internal combustion tractors! threashing. Dean Yoder was there with his T last year. He had tractor lug wheels on it for a time. Lot to see, lot to do. If you come, stop in the car barn downstairs and say hi. I plan to have a replica of Henry Fords quad plus the 1926 touring that you may have seen on some tours that my folks were in.
Harry I will be there Two tractor conversions. And will be camping with My 24 touring & trailer.
25 roadster will go under the pullford.
if you get tired of this the davenport, IA motorcycle swap meet is this week end just down the road lots of old bikes & races to. I will be buying &selling. charley. oops got to type password, lol
Hope to see you Dean. Heard a lot about you but have not had the pleasure of meeting you. You were not with you T last year when I saw your display. I only got by it one other time due to my knees and missed you again. If you get over close to the antique car barn, I plan on being downstairs with my quad and 26. It is cooler downstairs. Dave Dunlavy may be there one day with his quad. Would love to see his Model F some day. My cousin Jim plans to have his home made Model T tractor there. It uses two 4" x 6" red oak beams which he replaced. It is thought to have been assembled during WWII given the lack of metal.
Dean,
Don't forget where you need to be next week.
It sounds like a great event, please post pics,
Rob
