While going over some of my old files, I found a link to a wonderful book. I don't know where I got the link (might even have been on the forum).

The book is: "Automobile Repairshop Short-cuts Over 1500 Time and Labor-saving Kinks ... - Motor World - Google Books"

It was published in 1918 and I think some of the ideas in it are brilliant. It's loaded with pictures and fun to read!!

Here's the link:

Absolutely wonderful. I especially liked the illustrations. Similar to Dykes.
Thanks for the link.

Wish I could find a way to print this out at a publisher so it was on both sides of the page. Very interesting book. Thank you for sharing.

Dave:

If you click on the "gear" on the right, you can save it as a PDF on your computer.

Then, you can print it at home or save it to a thumb drive or a CD rom and take it your local Kinkos and have it printed there.

One interesting thing I noticed was the use of gasoline to clean parts. They were even spraying it with a compressed air gun of sorts. There were a couple of examples I noticed. They didn't even suggest you do it outside. Talk about a hazard.......
