can anyone fill me in on what is used to seal the sediment bowl to the fuel tank on a frame mounted tank? Doesn't appear to be a pipe thread so I am not sure Teflon tape or pipe dope is correct. Harv

It is a pipe thread. For me a little dab of Permatex #1 does it. Common Teflon tape can't hold up to gasoline.

Harvey there's a yellow teflon tape that is a lot thicker and stouter stuff - gas won't eat it the way it will with regular white teflon. That's what I used on mine.

I used the yellow on my '13. Hasn't leaked or seeped.
