I missed posting the last time this topic went around because I didn't have any pictures...now I do have pictures.
Slowly the Hack looks less turned over at the heels
I had my second knee replaced 10 days ago. So no T work for a month or so. However, I can lay in bed and order parts.
By the way, nice Hack.
Reading two T's for transporting.

I just poured a cup of coffee.
I don't know how to post pictures. I just parked a TT wrecker and a TT dump truck along Hwy 5 in Lovilia, Iowa. Going to put the radio in the 28 Phaeton and get to the Moravia, Iowa Fall Festival parade at 3:00. Radio for Football! Party at my daughter's after that. Need to get away from T disease for a couple of days. Just drive instead of endless tinkering. Have a fun wkend everyone!
Sitting at the bar on a beach in Mazatlan, sipping Pacificos two for one at happy hour, wishing I was back home in my Babbit shop.

That's funny Mark. I would have said the same last week, but a week of Mexico is enough for me. My plane is wheels up in three hours, and I'm ready. Besides, you need to be at work cranking out Rajos.
Fordially, Erik
Just back from town where I got the padding for the top on the Hack. I the rain stops I'll go up to the shop and start work on it.
One down & one to go !!!
Eric, I'm betting the wife had something to do with the trip to Mazatlán. My wife has all the great travel plans for us. I solved the problem. She goes anywhere in the world she wants with a friend and leaves me home. My wife has a getaway on the coast in Mexico and I can honestly say I've never been there and have no intention to.
I go to any car meet, swap meet I wish to attend and leave her home. It's a win win situation, everybody is happy. The only time we travel together is the Formula 1 race in Texas and the away Seahawks games. I never go anywhere I don't want to, life is to short.
just sayin'

Steve,
A glutton for punishment?
I still have a couple of lower lines to transfer to the buck and I'll be ready to cut patterns and shape some metal. This woodworking stuff is not my forte and has been "work" for several months now. You can't imagine the difficulty of making wood look like something. I'll be so happy to get back to shaping metal.

Not really, Mark ! Your short block is the one on the left and went into the red racer - the right engine is his buddy's and wants me to check it out. It's a "runner" - just wants me to check it over.
Got caught in a torrential downpour returning from a club breakfast in my coupe. Turned on my e-light flasher sitting in the rear window, hung on to the wheel and made it OK. Sure glad I wasn"t in an open car!
B.C.G.,
You nailed it! Actually my wife and I have the same sort of arrangement, and it makes us both real happy. Every few years, I want to go with her to Mexico. This was one of those times. She goes for two weeks, I bail out after one. Worked out OK for 30 years. At present I am sitting it out at Sac metro in the Delta Sky Lounge after a wicked layover in Mexico City. Another reminder why once every few years is fine.

After messing up the correct drive shaft housing for my roadster, I'm making do with a later one for now because I need to get the car running so I can use it. Today I blasted...
...washed out..
...put in the bushing and drilled the grease hole..
...reamed the bushing...
...prepped and painted.
Saturday I drove a beautiful bride and her new husband away from the church after the wedding in our 23 Touring. Then Teresa and I went to the reception and ate and danced until late evening. I must add, I had the pleasure of delivering her nearly 28 years ago as well!
That is a great story Dr. Chicoine! Well done. Twice! Thank you for sharing.
